1936 Ford Deluxe Fordor
The Polana's purchased this 1936 Ford on August 27th, 2001. The original mileage was 84,731. The car was originally from Harrisburg, NC. The history shows that in 1940 the engine was replaced with a 1939 engine; the old mechanical brakes were replaced with hydraulics at the same time. The car sat on blocks until 1977. The history is a little vague from that point until it was sold to someone in Riverside CA in 1985. (The Polana's have the registration papers). Andy and Suzanne purchased the car from the third owner, a Tustin resident, at a local car club event. The little '36 was and is straight and in good shape for a 68 year old automobile. The Polana's plan on doing a mechanical and cosmetic restoration only. So far, the engine has been replaced and most of the mechanical work completed. The project should be completed in about 3-years. In the meantime, Sue and Andy are enjoying the car on weekends as much as they can.
